About
About Meth Testing QLD
A Brisbane-based business that does one thing: tests Queensland properties for methamphetamine residue and reports the result plainly.
In short
Meth Testing QLD tests homes, rentals, caravans and vehicles for meth residue, using field screens and NIOSH 9111 laboratory wipe samples, and reports against the 0.5 µg/100cm² residential guideline. It does not carry out works on contaminated properties, so its results are independent of whoever does.
The standards behind every test
- The 2011 national guidelines — the Clandestine Drug Laboratory Remediation Guidelines, including 0.5 µg/100cm² for inside surfaces and sampling every room used by a child under 16.
- The Environmental Health Australia code of practice (2019) — the NIOSH 9111 wipe method, chain of custody, blanks, and 10 µg/100cm² for commercial areas and roof spaces.
- Accredited laboratory analysis — Queensland Health advises post-works samples go to an accredited laboratory that can certify the result; laboratory certificates are attached to reports unaltered.
Why testing only
When the same business tests, quotes the works, does them and then clears them, every result carries a question. Keeping testing separate removes it. If a property needs works, the owner chooses the contractor; the clearance test is still independent.
How results are reported
Every report lists each sample’s location, the surface, the method, the result against the relevant figure, the blank, and a plain-English summary. Porous surfaces that a wipe may understate are noted. Nothing is rounded into a pass.
Discretion
Unmarked vehicles. Jobs are not discussed with neighbours, agents or anyone else the client has not authorised.
